Optical media as a way to improve performance of solar concentrator photoelectric devices

Abstract

We examine the possibility of improving the performance of solar concentrator photoelectric devices (SCPDs) using optical media. It is shown that the area of a photocell can be decreased by a factor of 1.5–1.7 with the same SCPD power when using optical media.
