The use of laser milling for prototyping of dental structures

The results of experimental studies of the effect of radiation parameters of an ytterbium fiber laser on processing efficiency and quality of zirconia-based dental ceramics are presented. Laser operating conditions with optimum characteristics for rapid material removal and obtaining highquality final surfaces of dental structures are determined. The possibility of forming thin-walled ceramic structures (with a minimum wall thickness of 50 μm) using laser milling technology is demonstrated.
