Abstract
Described from Angasima-tepui in Edo. Bolívar, Venezuela is a new species ofStomatochaeta, a generic segregate ofStenopadus. The distinctions between these two genera are briefly discussed and a key to the new species,Stomatochaeta acuminata, and the other species ofStomatochaeta is given. Bilabiate flowers are reported for the first time inGlossarion, which formerly was thought to have only ligulate flowers.Guaicaia, erected to house a single species with bilabiate flowers but otherwise similar in critical features to the reportedly ligulateGlossarion, is reduced to synonymy. Accordingly, the new combinationGlossarion bilabiatum is proposed. An emended generic description ofGlossarion and a key to its species are presented.
