Potentilla basaltica (Rosaceae), a new species from Nevada

Abstract

Potentilla basaltica Tiehm & Ertter is described, illustrated and compared to other members of theMultijugae group,P. newberryi, andIvesia. The leaf form and small flowers are reminiscent ofIvesia, indicating a possible new link between the two genera.
