Two leguminous forest trees new to the flora of French Guiana

Abstract

Stryphnodendron moricolor (Mimosaceae) is described, illustrated and discussed. The genusMonopteryx (Fabaceae) is reported for the first time outside Amazonian Brazil and adjacent Venezuela. A key distinguishing the three known species ofMonopteryx is presented.
