Abstract
The type specimens ofDrepanocladus minnesotensis Williams andNeocalliergon integrifolium Williams are shown to beD. aduncus var.kneiffii (B.S.G.) Monk. andScorpidium scorpioides (Hedw.) Limpr., respectively. These fossils, which were originally obtained from late glacial sediments in Minneapolis, Minnesota, together with other mosses identified from the deposit, indicate that deposition probably took place in a shallow depression filled with calcareous water. Pleistocene mosses from near Bronson, Minnesota, originally namedD. minnesotensis are reidentified asD. aduncus (Hedw.) Warnst. andCalliergon giganteum (Schimp.) Kindb.
