Abstract

Nomenclatural innovations are validated inAster, Chrysopsis, Eupatorium,Gaillardia, Helianthus, Prenanthes, Silphium, andSolidago. The genusChrysopsis is maintained as distinct fromHeterotheca, andHelianthus smithii Heiser is reduced to synonymy underH. microcephalus Torr. & Gray.
