A new species of Ranunculus from North Carolina

Abstract

Ranunculus subcordatus is described as new. The plant has been collected from two locations in North Carolina where its closeness to seaports and local aggressiveness, as well as its morphological relationship to South American taxa, indicates that it is not native.
