Abstract
A new species,Brongniartia riesebergii (Fabaceae: Faboideae), endemic to a small area of the state of Durango, Mexico, is described and illustrated. Its morphological affinities with other species are discussed and habitat data are given. An emended description ofB. norrisii McVaugh is also provided.

Se describe una especie nueva,Brongniartia riesebergii (Fabaceae: Faboideae), endémica estrecha del estado de Durango, México. Se discuten sus afinidades morfológicas con otras especies y se proporcionan datos de su hábitat. Asimismo, se incluye una descripción corregida deB. norrisii McVaugh.
