Plutarchia ecuadorensis (Ericaceae, Vaccinieae): a new species and a new generic record for Ecuador

Abstract

Plutarchia, a shrubby páramo genus, is here reported for the first time in Ecuador where two species are recognized: P. angulata A. C. Smith and the new P. ecuadorensis Luteyn. These two species are keyed, described, and the new species illustrated.
