Abstract

Many agents that interact with DNA have scored important clinical successes against cancer over the years. Although, there is considerable excitement today about new anticancer strategies, such as antiangiogenesis therapy, agents that target DNA are still worth pursuing, delegates were told at the 10th NCI-EORTC Symposium on New Drugs in Cancer Therapy [ Amsterdam, The Netherlands; June 1998 ].
