Several efforts are underway to reduce the incidence of contact allergic dermatitis, including the development of a test that can assess the potential of topical corticosteroids to produce allergic reactions. Also, at the 75th Annual Meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists [ Glasgow, UK; July 1995 ], attention was drawn to latexrelated allergic reactions, with a call for earlier reporting of symptoms. And granulocyte colony-stimulating factor has been identified as a potential treatment for toxic epidermal necrolysis-related neutropenia.
