Abstract

New agents set to make an impact in the field of dermatology include tazarotene for acne and psoriasis, and a combination of diclofenac with hyaluronic acid for actinic keratoses. Details of these approaches to treatment were presented at the 10th Annual Dermatology Update conference [ Vancouver, Canada; October, 1994 ]. In addition, the risks and benefits of topical azelaic acid therapy for acne were discussed, as this agent is expected to be launched soon in the US and Canada.
