Summary

The advanced Higher Medical Training programme of six modules will be individualized. At least two of the six modules must be undertaken in the workplace. Those that cannot be dealt with inside the company will be covered in training courses. It is estimated that attendance at such courses will require about 15 days per annum for 2 years. The supervision of the training and the assessments will adhere to those systems used elsewhere in specialist training programmes. Consistent standards will be maintained across the in-house and out-house training and assessments.
