Summary
Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an independent not-for-profit enterprise that focuses on the writing, publication and sale of prescribing guidelines for health professionals. It had its genesis in the late 1970s when guidelines on appropriate and cost-effective antibiotic therapy were prepared and used by a group of enthusiastic individuals to examine and improve prescribing in the Victoria state public hospital system. This paper gives a brief summary of the key milestones and achievements in the development of the organization.
