Abstract
A new method for the generation of orthogonal body-fitted grids is presented in this paper. The positions of boundary points in the physical domain are adjusted to obtain orthogonal curvilinear grids without changing the value of ξ and η during the numerical process. The densities of ξ and η are given in advance. Good results were achieved in the application of this method on the cooling system of an internal combustion engine and a trail duct.
