Abstract
The inhibitor 2-mercaptoimidazole (2-MI) at different concentration in API 5L X70 immersed in sodium chloride was researched by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy under different hydrodynamic conditions (rotation rate). The best conditions are present at 0 rpm and 5 ppm with inhibition efficiency of 90.7%. Finally, the 2-MI inhibitor follow a physisorption mechanism according to the Langmuir isotherm.
