Abstract

Green chemistry is today the most important methodology to develop and improve processes for obtaining mesoporous materials. SBA-15 is a siliceous mesoporous material with a hexagonal structure. In this work, SBA-15-type material was synthesized by the Sol–Gel method and subsequently irradiated by microwave, ultrasound, and synchronous irradiation (microwave/ultrasound) in the aging stage. The synthesized materials using microwave/ultrasound irradiation showed similar characteristics to the SBA-15 material synthesized by the Sol–Gel method, with marked differences for each heat treatment. Furthermore, the sample obtained by synchronous irradiation showed the best textural properties by combining microwave and ultrasound irradiation. It improves the synthesis time, reducing it to one minute in the aging stage.
