M.J. Plodinec, a research associate with the Savannah River Laboratory, is also head of the Glass Technology Group there. He has been involved in solidification of nuclear waste since 1975. His current research interests include glass processing technology, determination of glass performance, and application of artificial intelligence technologies to waste management.
