Susan D. Allen has a PhD in chemical physics from the University of Southern California. Since joining the Center for Laser Studies in 1977 she has worked on bistable optical devices, optical measurements of low loss materials, laser deposition and etching, laser driven interface mixing in semiconductors and laser induced desorption.
