Abstract
Thin CdTe technology is a potential technology for cost effective PV modules in the near future. Key questions will be the long-term stability combined with high conversion efficiency. There are indications of both of those necessary features. Also, the scalability of the technology looks promising. The availibility of the raw materials will not be a limitation for large-scale production of CdTe solar cell devices.
