Additional information

Robert L. Gunshor is the Thomas Duncan Distinguished Professor of Microelectronics at Purdue University. His research focuses on the MBE growth and optical, electrical, and microstructural characterization of a wide range of II-VI and II-VI/III-V semiconductor heterostructures. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers.

Arto V. Nurmikko is the L. Herbert Bailou University Professor in the Division of Engineering and Department of Physics, and director of the Center for Advanced Materials Research at Brown University. Earlier in his career he led a team that developed the means to use optically induced changes in semiconductors to switch long waves in infrared radiation at picosecond speeds. Nurmikko is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and of the Optical Society of America. He was the recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship in 1992.
