Spectrum utilisation, spectrum management and COST271

Abstract

The future needs to telecommunication systems planning and operation of ionospheric propagation information, such as those currently being collected within European Union research project COST271, are briefly discussed within the changing environment of radio spectrum usage and control. Research investigations under study are summarised.
