Abstract
A curve fitting procedure to optimise liquid-liquid extraction of weakly acid or basic drugs is presented. Data for three drugs are used to exemplify the utility of such an approach, including the determination of unknown pK a values. The potential for using calculated partition coefficients is discussed.
