Localized excitations and influence of exciton-exciton, exciton-phonon interactions in a 3D vector model of alpha-helical protein system

Abstract

We consider a 3D vector model of an alpha-helical protein system and investigate the solitonic exitations in the continuum level. By means of a perturbation approach the influence of exciton-exiton and exciton-phonon interactions on the energy transfer mechanism through the system under consideration is discussed. The stability aspects of the soliton are then explained by means of a linear stability analysis in the discrete level.
