Avoid common mistakes on your manuscript.
Retraction note: Eur. Phys. J. A (2022) 58:65 https://doi.org/10.1140/epja/s10050-022-00717-7
The paper was published in EPJA, Volume 58, Article number 65, on 12 April 2022. After publication, we discovered a mistake in the script used to calculate beam energy losses from tabulated stopping powers. As a result, and in agreement with the Editor, we prefer to retract the paper and present revised S-factors and tables in a new publication, to avoid generating confusion in the literature. The general analysis and conclusions remain unchanged.
We deeply regret any inconvenience that this retraction may cause, and we apologize to the scientific community and to the readers of EPJA for any harm that may have been caused by the publication of this paper. We would like to emphasize that the mistake was unintentional.
A new manuscript with the revised S-fact plots and tables in supplemental materials will be submitted soon.
