Symmetry character of positive-parity bands in neutron-rich even palladium isotopes

Abstract.

The new data provided by recent experiments on 118Pd, a nucleus not previously investigated, and on the high-spin states of the yrast band in even \(^{110\mbox{--}116}\)Pd isotopes have been analyzed in the framework of the IBA-2 model, extending a former study. A correct description of the properties of 118Pd has been obtained by using model parameters equal or very close to those of the neighbouring isotopes. The importance of mixed-symmetry components for a satisfactory description of the states of \(J \geq 10\) in \(^{110\mbox{--}118}\)Pd is pointed out.
