Abstract

The results of studying the bone tissue samples of humans and domestic pigs from some ancient monuments of the Kerch Peninsula in Crimea are given. The diets of humans and animals are determined by the content of carbon and nitrogen isotopes in their bones at the time of death. The study is conducted using a DELTA V mass spectrometer, an elemental analyzer, and devices for their connection. It is revealed that the inhabitants of ancient settlements barely ate any sea fish. It was used as a food for pigs only occasionally.
