Integrated scarce water resource management for a sustainable water supply in arid regions (the experience of the state of Israel)

Abstract

The factors influencing the efficiency of management of scarce water resources are defined. Israel’s water resources in semiarid and arid climate conditions are evaluated. The alternative water sources in the state identified. The prospective surplus water balance is analyzed.
