Abstract
The recent discovery of a new class of RNAs, which are called centrosomal RNAs, in the centrosome is indirect proof of the centrosome hypothesis of cell differentiation and aging, in our opinion. The presence of a reverse transcriptase domain in RNAs of this class and the high specificity of this RNA for the organoid may make the centrosome a site for information storage and reproduction. The ability of this organelle to fulfill these functions is one of the basic postulates of the centrosome hypothesis of cell differentiation and aging.
