Inorganic Materials: Applied Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Alloys (SnBi)100 – xSbx (x < 4.8) have been synthesized by means of ultrafast quenching from a melt in the form of a foil having a thickness of 30–70 μm. The effect of antimony on the phase composition, grain structure, and texture of the alloys has been analyzed. The processes of aging in metastable rapidly hardened foils and their effect on the microhardness of the alloys are considered.
