Strength and Destruction Mechanism of Low-Alloy Steel Subjected to a Combined Deformation Treatment

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials: Applied Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The strength and mechanism of destruction are studied for low-alloy steel 09G2S subjected to a combined treatment using an extrusion and screw pressing (ESP) of bulk billets at room temperature and at a temperature of 213 K. Data concerning the mechanical properties of steel at room temperature and 213 K in the initial state and state after ESP are given. The mechanism of destruction of steel 09G2S in different states is described.
