Abstract

Some meristic characteristics of the population of the stellate tadpole-goby from the Cheboksary Reservoir are given for the first time. All studied specimens were sexually mature females of age 1+. In the fall, the stellate tadpole-goby feeds exclusively on mollusks (% of occurrence): Lithoglyphus naticoides (85%), Dreissena sp. (6%), Valvata sp. (6%), and Bithynia sp. (3%).
