Abstract
The stationary diffusion-migration problem of the anodic dissolution of a metal is considered taking into account the instability of the charged compounds formed. Concentration distributions of the components and electric potential distribution in the diffusion layer are calculated, as well as voltammetric characteristics of the process. According to the analysis carried out, depending on the conditions, either the limiting current is reached in the system because of the deficit of the electrochemically active anions in the layer near electrode, or the concentration limitation is observed due to the conjugation of the opposite processes, namely, the generation and consumption of the anions.
