Abstract
The studies were devoted to the effect of a mixture of sodium nitrite with the salts of substituted benzoic acids on the corrosive behavior of steel in chloride-containing Ca(OH)2 solutions. The inhibitory action of these compositions depends on the nature of the substituent and can significantly increase the protective effect of the constituent components. The inhibiting compositions of the synergetic effect, IFKhAN-80, −82, and −83, were developed for the primary protection of steel reinforcement in concrete.
