Abstract
The anodic deposition of cobalt oxide compounds from aqueous fluoride-containing electrolytes is studied. X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and chemical analysis were used to determine the composition and structure of compounds obtained. The decisive effect on the properties of the compounds (their catalytic activity and ionic conductivity) is shown to be caused by the hydroxide group involved in the water-containing oxide compounds.
