Abstract
The possibility of using polyatomic alcohols (glycols)—ethylene glycol (EG), diethylene glycol (DEG), and triethylene glycol (TEG)—as modifying additives in the synthesis of urea–formaldehyde resins (UFRs) for the production of particleboards (PBs) has been considered. It is shown that polyatomic alcohols improve the technological properties of the modified resins and allow reducing the content of free formaldehyde in PBs.
