Comparative Analysis of Surface and Thermal Properties of Oil—Polymer Resins

  • Published:
Polymer Science, Series D Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

Data on the surface-energy, acid–base, and thermal characteristics of a wide range of oil–polymer resins have been obtained using wetting methods and differential-thermal analysis. The composition of resins is determined by nuclear magnetic resonance on protons. The dependence of acid–base properties (acidity parameter) of the resin surface on the content of olefinic protons has been found. Samples with best thermal stability are noted.
