Abstract

The dependence of tensile strength and elongation at failure strain on the change in oiling-emulsion concentration was studied. A correlation between the tensile strength and elongation values at failure strain with the change in the surface activity and specific electrical conductivity of the oiling emulsion was observed with a change in the oiling-emulsion concentration from 2 to 20%. This indicates that electro-physical processes play an important role in the adsorption mechanism: free electrical charges on the fiber surface under mechanical loading.
