A study of the properties of a composite asphalt binder using liquid products of wood fast pyrolysis

  • Published:

Abstract

The results of a study of the adhesive properties of a composite asphalt binder modified with pyrolytic lignin—a water-insoluble fraction of liquid products of fast pyrolysis of wood—are presented. It is shown that 10 wt % pyrolytic lignin increases the adhesive strength of the composite asphalt binder and the obtained samples of modified asphalt concrete correspond to the requirements of GOST (State Standard) 9128–84.
