Determination of thermodynamic characteristics of metal surfaces under selective wetting conditions

Abstract

Surface free energy and its components for the oxidized and unoxidized metallic surfaces are determined under selective wetting conditions using test liquids and neutral hydrocarbons. A well-distinguished oleophily of the surfaces under study due to their molecular nature is established. A preliminary thermal oxidation surface does not significantly affect the surface characteristics.
