Adhesives and sealants based on bitumen

Abstract

A review of adhesive and sealing materials produced based on bitumen and applied in civil engineering, as well as the construction of roads and airdrome pavements, is given. The methods of bitumen modification with the purpose of improving its technological and physicomechanical properties are considered. A description of new polymer-bitumen materials developed based on modified bitumen is given, and fields of their application in adhesive and sealing compositions are stated.
