Abstract
Waterproofing composition based on acetone-formaldehyde resin is developed to increase the efficiency of maintenance works to protect wells from water inflow. Carbamide-formaldehyde resin is used as an additive that lowers the viscosity of composition and stabilizes the solidification process. Low viscosity of composition makes it possible to pump-in the composition into the well with lower energy consumption and to ensure better penetration of the composition into the damaged sites of oil well sealing. The developed bridging material is successfully applied for a number of oil wells.
