Abstract

The method of differential scanning calorimetry at various heating rates is used to measure the heat effect of the curing reaction of a EHD–MD grade chlorine-containing epoxy binder. Based on the experimental data, the kinetic parameters of the curing process are identified by the model-independent Friedman method. For the first time, an isoconversion thermokinetic diagram of the curing of a chlorine-containing epoxy binder is constructed and its glass transition temperature in the uncured state is determined, which makes it possible to evaluate the dependence of the latter on the degree of curing.
