Abstract

The energy capabilities of solid composite propellants based on certain derivatives of 1,2,4- and 1,3,4-oxadiazoles, have been recently described in the literature on the assumption that they could be used as energy compounds, have been studied. It was shown that some of the compounds under investigation have a good potential for creating solid propellants with improved energy characteristics. The quantitative dependences of the energy parameters of the propellant on the properties of the oxidizer under study, aluminum content in the formulation, of the type of binder and of its fraction are established.
