Abstract

The formation of high-current electron beams whose charge is partially neutralized by ions with currents exceeding the limiting Alfven current is analytically considered. The results of a measurement of the parameters of high-current electron beams formed in a partially neutralized state and a numerical simulation of nonstationary processes in different charge neutralization schemes are discussed.
