Abstract

The kinetics of the interaction of aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide single crystals with phosphoric acid is investigated under isothermal treatment at temperatures in the range 250–350°C. The probable mechanism of the reactions of Al2O3 and SiO2 with phosphoric acid is considered. The influence of the structure of the Al2O3 and SiO2 oxides on their interaction with phosphoric acid is analyzed.
