Abstract
Wetting of the lead silicate glass 6Va4 with deionized distilled water is investigated. The condition of the glass surface is examined with a Solver Pro NT-MDT scanning probe microscope and Auger spectroscopy. The angles of wetting of the surface with water are determined using the profile analysis. It is established that the wetting of the glass surface depends on the procedure used for the treatment of the glass and on the water purity.
