Abstract
The vaporization of aluminum under reducing conditions is studied by the Knudsen method with mass-spectrometric analysis of the vapor phase. It is shown that, in the presence of carbon, the relative content of Al2O in the vapor increases as compared to the vaporization under neutral conditions and the vaporization temperature of aluminum-containing molecules is reduced.
