Abstract
The article discusses some aspects of the priority growth areas of Russian rail transport, as well as matters of management and financing in the area of cooperation between various participants in the transport services market under the new economic conditions. The consequences of Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization for rail transport are evaluated. Particular attention is paid to the development of high-speed traffic, as well as the issues related to the infrastructure component of the industry and commercialization of transportation services.
